The proposed undertaking would enhance roadway design elements in the City of Jesup. Elements of the project include rehabilitating downtown sidewalks and improving the streetscape. The undertaking consists of improvements to sidewalks on W Plum Street from SW Broad Street to SR 38/US 84 (1st Street); W Cherry Street from Macon Street to SR 38/US 84; and W Walnut Street from Macon Street to SR 38/US 84 (Figure 1). The planned improvements primarily involve sidewalk extensions into the named streets along their length and at the corners. Specific tasks include repair of existing sidewalks, replacement where necessary, addition of decorative brick pavers, and installation of street trees and furniture. The planned improvements would be constructed entirely within the existing right of way (ROW).
