Oglethorpe Power Corporation (OPC) is considering purchasing from Georgia Power Company the Foxwood Substation in Rockdale, County. A 1974 plat of the substation shows a family cemetery in and adjacent to the northeast corner of the property. This proposal offers a two phased approach for determining the number and location of the graves on the substation property. Phase I calls for a site visit and literature review. Phase II is a follow-up which seeks to verify the presence of graves on the property if necessary.
