Abstract

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) plans to widen and improve State Route (SR) 133 between Albany and Moultrie under Pl Nos. 0000473, 0000475, 0000519, 0000520, and 0015478 in Colquitt, Worth, and Dougherty Counties. GDOT Pl No. 0000519 covers the portion of the SR 133 corridor in Worth County from just north (NJ of the Colquitt County line to southeast (SE) of Worthwood Road.

Multiple archaeological surveys have been conducted for the improvements to the SR 133 corridor (Amrine 2020; Carpenter and McQuinn 2018; Keith et al. 2019; Koch et al. 2006; Martin et al. 2014; McMahon 2019; Olin and Amrine 2020; Sipes and Lovett 2011). Changes to easement design have expanded the limits of the APE beyond existing survey coverage, requiring additional survey under the Georgia Environmental Policy Act.
