Abstract

On October 8, 1976 the Institute of Archaeology of The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga submitted a proposal to the Southeast Archaeological Center of the National Park Service for an archaeological survey of Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park. This survey was to be conducted in order to determine the potential archaeological impacts of alternative relocations of Highway 27. These alternatives are outlined in Figs. 1 and 2.
