Abstract

This report covers a cultural resources survey conducted on a 2-mile extension of Stamp Creek Road (FS 25) in southwestern Rabun County, Georgia. The roadway lies in Forest Service Compartments 78, 79, 80, 82 and 83 of the Tallulah Ranger District, and in Land Lots 62, 63, 64, and 50 of District 5 of Rabun County. The survey area is on the USGS Tiger Quadrangle (1972, 7.5 min.), and is off Worley Creek Road west of Camp Dixie. A similar survey was conducted in 1980 for the initial portion of this road (Wynn 1980), and this road is on the same purchase tract. Figures 1 and 2 locate the project. The cultural resources field survey was conducted by the author, assisted by Forest Survey Technician Buzzy Bennett, on February 23, 1981
