Abstract

A cultural resource survey was completed on August 11 and 29, 1994 for two proposed horse camps in the Upper Chattahoochee River Drainage. Two locations are proposed for this project, a day-use area and a developed horse camp. The day-use area is proposed in an existing wildlife opening, which is in grass and clover now, and it has small pines growing around the edges of the opening. The proposed horse camp location is in a cleared pine beetle area with snags and saplings. Two sites were located' one in each location but due to the previous disturbances, neither are eligible for the National Register. It is recommended that this project proceed as planned.
