Abstract

During August 1994 cultural resources surveys were conducted in Compartments 37, 42, 43, and 44 in the Tallulah Ranger District, Rabun County, Georgia (Figure 1). Approximately 374 acres were surveyed in compliance with the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and the National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA). Three archaeological sites and one artifact occurrence were located and recorded. The integrity of each of these sites has been lost, and no research potential remains. None of the sites is eligible for the National Register of Historic Places, and cultural resource clearance is recommended.
