Abstract

New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of the proposed Etowah Water and Sewer Authority sewer system expansion on December 20 and 21,1995. The study area is an approximate one mile sewer corridor extending from the floodplain surrounding the Etowah River to Dawson Forest Road, located southwest of the city of Dawsonville. The survey did not locate any archaeological remains and no additional archaeological study is recommended.
