Abstract

A reconnaissance archaeological survey and site evaluation was conducted within an approximately 51 ha (127 ac) tract in Union County, Georgia, for the proposed Blairsville Airport Regional Industrial Park during February 1998. The Investigation was conducted on behalf of the Union County Development Authority. Archaeological sites 9UN329, 9UN330, and 9LTN331 were discovered during the survey phase of the investigation. Survey and evaluation results indicate that none of these sites should be considered eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places. No further cultural resource management consideration is recommended.
