Abstract

Approximately 1.96 miles of Tucker Road was subjected to Phase I Archaeological Survey by New South Associates on January 26, 1999. The survey studied the portion of Tucker Road lying between Foster and Rivoli Roads in Macon, Bibb County, Georgia. A pedestrian survey employing a combination of shovel testing and inspection of exposed ground surface was conducted. No previously recorded archaeological sites were recorded within the confines of the project corridor and no new sites were located. No further study of the Tucker Road project corridor is recommended.
