Abstract

New South Associates conducted a cultural resources survey of the proposed Georgia Power M&R site (Plant Wansley). The study was conducted on February 13, 2001 and included archaeological and historic architectural survey of three acres for the M&R site and a 100 feet wide, 1375 feet long, access road corridor. The entire survey area is located in Heard County, Georgia. Archaeological study of the area found no new or previously recorded archaeological sites. Architectural historical survey identified no historic structures in the project area. No further cultural resources study is recommended.
