Abstract

In May and June, 2001 fourteen intersections in Cook, Decatur, and Terrell Counties, Georgia were archeologically surveyed by Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. (SAS). The surveys were undertaken to ensure that the Georgia Department of Transportation is in compliance with Federal regulations concerning the disposition and protection of significant cultural resources (National Historic Preservation Act of 1966--as amended). No archeological sites were discovered, and no further archeological studies are needed at these intersections.
