Abstract

On May 29,2002, Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. (SAS) surveyed two adjacent intersections along State Route 166 in western Carroll County, in unincorporated Jonesville, Georgia (Figure 1). The survey was undertaken to ensure that the Georgia Department of Transportation is in compliance with Federal regulations concerning the disposition and protection of significant cultural resources (National Historic Preservation Act of 1966--as amended). No archeological sites were discovered, and no further archeological studies are recommended at these intersections.
