Abstract

On May 30, 2002, Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. (SAS) surveyed for a proposed reconfigured intersection of State Route 155 and County Road 65, also known as Hampton-Locust Grove Road or Bill Gardner Parkway. The intersection is just north of the village of Luella, Georgia (Figure 1). The survey was undertaken to ensure that the Georgia Department of Transportation is in compliance with Federal regulations concerning the disposition and protection of significant cultural resources (National Historic Preservation Act of 1966—as amended). No archeological sites were discovered, and no further archeological studies are needed at this intersection.
