Abstract

On October 18 and November 9,2002, Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. (SAS) surveyed fourteen intersections in Hall and Jackson Counties, in the cities of Gainesville, Jefferson, and Commerce, Georgia (Figures 1-4). The surveys were undertaken to ensure that the Georgia Department of Transportation is in compliance with Federal regulations concerning the disposition and protection of significant cultural resources (National Historic Preservation Act of 1966--as amended). No archeological sites were discovered, and no further archeological studies are needed at these intersections.
