Abstract

On May 7, 2004, TRC conducted a cultural resources survey of approximately 16 acres for the proposed Camp Creek Business Center in Fulton County, Georgia. The project is divided into three tracts, including a 4.5-acre tract paralleling a drainage, a 5.5-acre tract, and a 6-acre tract, which includes a proposed road extension. Background research determined that no previously recorded archaeological sites exist within the project tracts, and no properties that are listed or pending listing for the National Register of Historic Places are located within the project area. Only three previously recorded archaeological sites occur within a 2-km radius of the project area. Pedestrian reconnaissance of the project's Area of Potential Effects (APE) was undertaken to locate architectural resources 50 years old or older. The APE was restricted to the project area, since modern development and woods obstruct lines of sight from surrounding structures. No archaeological resources or historic properties were identified within the three tracts or APE, respectively. No further cultural resource investigations are recommended for these three tracts.
