Abstract

The project consists of various improvements along a 15 km (9.3 mi) length of GA 400 (from milepost 13.960 to 22.470 in Fulton County and Milepost 0.000 to 1.800 in Forsyth County). GA 400 is a limited access, divided highway. The most extensive improvements will be adding one or two lanes in various places into the existing, depressed median. The second most extensive aspect of the project is the construction of seven noise abatement walls, virtually all of which will be within existing right-of-way. Finally, the north-bound exit ramp at Holcomb Bridge Road will be widened, requiring a lateral expansion of this ramp for a distance of about 198 m (650 ft).
