Abstract

This project proposes to improve the southbound exit ramp from SR 400 to SR 140/Holcomb Bridge Road, Fulton County, Georgia. The existing 16' ramp will be widened to 36' by the addition of 20' of PCC pavement along the entire length of the right side of the exit ramp. The proposed construction will create two 12' wide dedicated left-turn lanes and one 12' wide dedicated right-turn lane. This proposed improvement will alleviate afternoon peak-hour traffic volume problems that this exit currently encounters. All work is scheduled to take place within the existing right-of-way, no additional right-of-way is required. Total project length is 800'.
