Proposed intersection improvements include adding a left turn lane from northbound Crabapple Road onto Chaffin Road and installing traffic signals. Five feet will be reserved for installing sidewalks, curbs and gutters on both sides of Crabapple and Chaffin Roads. The project extends 420 m (1378 ft) from the south end at Strickland Road on Crabapple Road and 85 m (279 ft) west from the Crabapple/Chaffin Road intersection. Most of the proposed improvements are contained within existing right-of-way (ROW).
