Abstract

The study area is a 2.88-mile corridor with a 70-foot right-of-way (ROW) on both sides of Sunset Blvd. (or a 140foot total ROW) located on the western edge of the city of Jesup. The study corridor extends northward from the intersection of US 84/SR38 to the intersection of SR 169/Lanes Bridge Road. A 1500-foot extension on both the south and north sides of these intersections, respectfully, were also surveyed. The corridor was bisected by a small creek/drainage (Millikin Bay Creek) that feeds the surrounding wetlands in the center of the corridor, and residential and commercial development encompassed both intersections.
