Abstract

This is a GDOT report short form for negative findings. The proposed project would consist of sidewalk and intersection improvements in Kennesaw, Cobb County. The proposed project would include the installation of curb and gutter and sidewalk on the west side of Sardis Street between Big Shanty Road and South Main Street for a distance of approximately 1,015 ft and on the west side of Dallas Street between Lewis Street and Watts Street for a distance of approximately 610 ft. Intersection improvements at Watts Street and South Main Street would consist of pedestrian signals and crosswalk striping. Existing right-of-way is 60 ft. No additional permanent right-of-way would be required in order to implement the proposed project, but temporary construction easements may be required. No shovel tests were excavated as the project areas have been previously disturbed by road, driveway, parking lot, and sidewalk construction and by grading and landscaping.
