The proposed project would widen and reconstruct SR 142 from I-20 to just north of the SR 142/CR 74 intersection in Newton County. Existing right-of-way is approximately 130 feet. Approximately 3000 feet east and 3000 feet west of SR 142 on Alcovy Road will be widened also. Existing right-of-way on Alcovy Road is 80 feet and an additional 0-50 feet would be required. This reevaluation is concerned with the addition of numerous small easements and sediment basins. All project changes have been surveyed. No existing or eligible National Register resources were located within the project's area of potential environmental effect.
