Abstract

Greenhouse Consultants incorporated was retained by The Paces Foundation, Inc. to undertake a Phase I archaeological survey of a 7.5 acre tract of land in Towns County, Georgia, to be developed for residential housing. The proposed development includes approximately 7.5 acres of fallow pasture within the city limits of Young Harris, Georgia, in the southwestern quadrant formed by the intersection of State Road 66 and U.S. Highway 76 (Figure 1). The field survey was completed on August 10, 2006 , under direction of senior staff archaeologists George Price, who served as Principal Investigator and author. No archaeological sites were located as a result of this investigation.
