The proposed project consists the replacement of the Green Top Road bridge over the CSX rail corridor. The project also involves alteration to the eastern and western approaches to the bridge. The project corridor is approximately 1,419 feet (432.5 meters) in length. The width of the corridor is largely contained within the existing 80-foot right-of-way (24-meter ROW). However, the roadside bank will be cut back approximately 15 feet (4.5 meters) past the existing ROW in the northeastern quadrant of the project area, and the earthwork under the bridge will be augmented to approximately 40 feet (12.2 meters) outside the existing ROW. The expansion of the earthwork is largely contained within the existing impact of the CSX rail corridor.
