On April 12, 1999, New South Associates conducted a Phase I archeological survey of the proposed 106 acre Chicopee Woods golf course extension project for Rochester and Associates. A pedestrian survey identified two cultural resources, one small prehistoric site and one small historic site, within the proposed project area. These two sites do not appear to qualify for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places, and no further study is recommended.
