Abstract

The initial proposed project would improve Snapfinger Road from south of Cleveland Road to Wesley Chapel Road, a distance of approximately 1.89 miles. This addendum to that project concerns the southern project terminal which has been extended approximately 500 feet to the south in order to maintain the existing southbound right turn lane into the businesses just south of the bridge. The addition of a second left turn lane on the bridge shifted the remaining through lanes outward, making the southbound right turn lane too narrow to be functional. Area of Potential Effect: The Area of Potential Effects being considered for this project is the project corridor's footprint. This area concerns the 500 foot length extension and the existing right-of-way, approximately 45 feet of which will be utilized in construction. The APE for this project extends from Flat Shoals PRKWY to just south of Cleveland Road along Snapfinger Road. All of the proposed new construction south of the bridge will be contained within the existing shoulders. Specifically, the ROW for this project is as follows: From Flat Shoals Pkwy to South of Riders Trail the existing ROW varies from approximately 100- 190 feet; From south of Riders Trail to south of Wesley Chapel Road, the existing ROW varies from approximately 50 -100 feet; From south of Wesley Chapel to Wesley Chapel Road, existing ROW is approximately 100 feet through this section.
