Report Number

Abstract

New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of six proposed intersection improvements in Coweta County on December 18, 2002. Each of the project intersections featured 70 feet (21.34 meters) of right-of-way, and no more than 500 feet (152.4 meters) of corridor extending from the intersection. A pedestrian survey consisting of shovel testing and inspection of surface exposure was conducted at each intersection. No artifacts associated with newly discovered or previously recorded archaeological sites were found by the survey. Therefore, no further archaeological study is recommended at the six intersections.
