Abstract

The proposed project is located approximately one mile northwest of Warm Springs and includes the replacement of a CSX railroad bridge along with relocation of 1.0 to 1.5 miles of track and the lowering of SR 41 to provide adequate horizontal and vertical clearance under the bridge. The existing tracks contain one set of rails and SR 41 is a two lane road. The length of the project along SR 41 will be approximately 0.5 mile; 2/3 south of the tracks and 1/3 north. The project also includes an at grade rail crossing east of the bridge on Juke Line Road. The proposed project will construct a temporary railroad bridge on new alignment located south of the existing bridge. An off-site traffic detour would be utilized during construction of the proposed project.
