On March 3, 2008, Edwards-Pitman Environmental, Inc. (EPEI) conducted an archaeological survey of the proposed Leake Mounds Trail in Bartow County. During the course of the investigations, we revisited this site and recorded one previously unidentified site. Only a small portion of 9BR1088 was investigated and is also recommended as having unknown NRHP eligibility. The investigated site area yielded few artifacts and has low data potential; therefore, the portion of 9BR1088 within the currently defined APE does not contribute to the overall eligibility of the site. Based on the results of the survey, EPEI recommends that no further archaeological work be undertaken within the APE.
