The proposed project would widen the existing sidewalk on Spring Road over the CSX Railroad to accommodate a multi-use trail (Figures 1 and 2). A pedestrian bridge would be constructed north of, and adjacent to, the existing bridge over the CSX railroad for the trail. The pedestrian bridge would be approximately 13 feet wide by 270 feet long and would tie into the proposed 10-foot wide mult-use trail programmed by the City of Smyrna on both ends. The total length of the project would be 450 feet and would be entirely within the existing right-of-way.
