Project STP-179-1(8) would reconstruct a portion of SR 113 onto new location beginning at CR 36 in Bartow County and terminating at the existing SR 113 in Polk County. This proposed project has been subjected to a previous survey by Teresa Paglione in 1991. Since that time, the alignment has shifted 1200 feet to the south of the existing SR 113. In addition, three sediment basins have been included. The proposed right-of-way varies with a maximum of 250 feet. The total length for the new alignment shift is is 1.9 miles. An archaeological survey consistent with the proposed project description was conducted along the entire length of the project corridor.
