Abstract

This report presents the results of the preliminary archeological records review of the Georgia portion of the Southern Natural Gas Company Georgia-Alabama Settlement Facilities Project. The Georgia portion of the project can be subdivided into three sections or loops. One loop will replace an existing Southern Natural Gas Company pipeline in Henry and Clayton counties, Georgia; the second loop will be constructed parallel to and south of an existing Southern Natural Gas Company pipeline corridor in Baldwin County, Georgia; and a third Loop will be constructed parallel to and south of an existing Southern Natural Gas Company pipeline corridor in Jefferson and Glascock counties, Georgia. A fourth loop also will be constructed in Lee and Macon counties, Alabama.
