Archaeological site 9JA54 was originally recorded in 1985 as an historic farmstead of unknown age. Additional investigations were conducted at the site in 2007 as part of a proposed trail project. Although the project was dropped and there was no potential affect to the site, the work on this site and the present report were completed in order to document the investigations at site 9JA54. This site represents a mid- to late nineteenth century farmstead and it is recommended as eligible for inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places.
