Since the 2006 archeological survey, the project corridor has been shortened by approximately 1,700 feet and the maximum right-of-way and easement widths to be acquired have increased. The current proposed project would provide median improvements and a multi-use path on Atlanta Road from Spring Road/Concord Road to Fleming Street. The total project length would be approximately 0.83 mile (4,328 feet). Atlanta Road currently consists of four travel lanes, two in each direction, with a two-way center left turn lane and curb and gutter on the outside shoulders. The existing right-of-way on Atlanta Road is approximately 100 feet. The maximum width of required right-of-way anticipated would be approximately 24 feet. The maximum width of required easements anticipated would be approximately 28 feet.
