Abstract

At the request of E. Julian Flexor, Architects, I conducted a cultural resource assessment of lots 42, 43, 44 and 1/3 of lot 41, Brunswick, Georgia. The purpose of this assessment was to determine the effect, if any, of a proposed building construction program for the Skidaway Institute. The primary archaeological concern was the establishment of where the former bank/marsh junction was and the nature of the archaeological and historic materials. A series of mechanically cut trenches demonstrated that the areas of interest contained no archaeological or historic resources.
