The proposed project would construct four passing lanes on SR 36 in Talbot and Upson Counties. The four passing lane sites would be located between the town of Thomaston and the Talbot/Harris County line. Site #l is located between Mile Post (MP) 1.3 and MP 2.8 in Talbot County. Site #2, in Talbot County, is located between MP 8.4 and 10.0. Site #3 is also located in Talbot County, between MP 13.55 and MP 15.05. Site #4 is located in Upson County between MP 3.4 and 4.7. Existing right-of-way on SR 36 is 100 feet and an additional 50 feet of right-of-way would be required. Total project length is 5.9 miles.
