The purpose of this project was to conduct an archaeological survey of a proposed 500 KV electric transmission line between the Vogtle Nuclear Generating Plant and the Wadley Substation northwest of Wadley, Georgia (Figure 1-1).

The survey area of the proposed Milledgeville 201 facilities plan was examined for the purpose of locating and assessing the significance of any prehistoric or historic resources which may exist. One small site, represented by a surface scatter of debris, was found.

A cultural resources survey of a 40 foot wide, 7,000 foot long sewer corridor and a 400 square foot pumping station was conducted just north of Jasper, Georgia in Pickens County. The area was characterized by steep valleys and poorly drained flood plains of small streams.
