Abstract

The proposed work will take place along a 2.723 mile section of State Route (SR)

50 in Quitman County beginning at the Georgia/Alabama State Line and ending approximately 718 feet

east of SR 27/SR 29(Figure 1). The proposed work consists of milling, patching, resurfacing, striping,

installing raised pavement markers, four-foot earth shoulder filling, and curb cuts to install wheel chair

ramps. The project will take place within existing Right-of-Way (ROW), which varies throughout. The

limits of construction will be 5 feet from the edge of pavement. Work on all bridges with concrete decks

will be limited to restriping only.
