Abstract

The proposed work consists of resurfacing, patching, milling, striping, raised pavement markers, four foot earth shoulder filling, and curb cuts for wheelchair ramps along an 1.951 mile section of State Route (SR) 25 from SR 21 to SR 307 in Chatham County, Georgia. The project will take place within existing right-of-way (ROW) which varies throughout. The limits of construction will be 5 feet from the edge of pavement. As the majority of the proposed work has no potential to affect historic properties, the area of potential effect for this project is limited to the two curb cut locations proposed on SR 25 at Rommel Avenue. No previously recorded archaeological sites are located within the project APE and three previously recorded sites are located within 1 km of the project.
