Abstract

The proposed project consists of resurfacing, milling, patching, leveling, and shoulder building on SR 10 beginning at the Wilkes/Oglethorpe County Line (MP 0.00) and ending at SR 17 (MP 15.896). All construction related activity will take place within the existing right-of-way. Pursuant to the February 2000 memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Federal Highway Administration (FHW A), the State Historic Preservation Officer of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (SHPO), and the Georgia Department of Transportation, this project is considered an undertaking as defined in 36 CFR 800.16(y), however, it has been determined there is no potential to affect historic properties included in or considered eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places.
