Abstract

The proposed project would include leveling, resurfacing, striping and the installation of rumble strips on SR 204 in Bryan County. The proposed project would begin on SR 204 at SR 30 then continue easterly on SR 204 to an end point at the Bryan/Chatham County line. All project construction will be restricted to within the existing right-of-way. Pursuant to the February 2000 memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), the State Historic Preservation Officer of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (SHPO), and the Georgia Department of Transportation, this project is considered an undertaking as defined in 36 CFR 800.16(y), however, it has been determined there is no potential to affect historic properties included in or considered eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places.
