Abstract

Archaeological Assessment of Various District 7 Resurfacing Projects. The proposed projects would consist of milling and resurfacing existing roadways in District 7. The resurfacing projects include the following: SR 6 from Butner Road to Convention Center Concourse (M003658-Fulton County); SR 154 from Moreland Avenue to Candler Road (M003659-DeKalb County); and SR 3 from Ralph David Abernathy to Marietta Street (M003660-Fulton County). All work will be restricted to within the existing right-of-way. Pursuant to the February 2000 memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), the State Historic Preservation Officer of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (SHPO), and the Georgia Department of Transportation, this project is considered an undertaking as defined in 36 CFR 800.16(y), however, it has been determined there is no potential to affect historic properties included in or considered eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places
