Abstract

"In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project AHL-2688(3), Hall County has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The purpose of the survey was to locate, identify and evaluate the significance of any archaeological resources within the project corridor.

This project proposes the reconstruction of S.R . 347, Lake Lanier Access Road, from the junction of the existing alignment, with 1-985 (S.R . 365) to Holiday Marina. The project proposes construction on new location of the facility; the termini will be on existing location. A corridor 350 feet wide was surveyed for a distance of 3.76 miles.
