Abstract

"In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project BRSLB-2031(4), Troup County, has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The purpose of the survey was to locate, identify and evaluate the significance of any archaeological resources within the project corridor.

This project is the replacement of two bridges on Salem Road (S-2031) over Polecat Creek and Turkey Creek. The Polecat Creek bridge and approaches will be replaced on new alignment, being located just

The Turkey Creek project is an in place existing alignment bridge and approach replacement with no new right-of-way required.
