Abstract

This project is 11.68 miles in length and consists of leveling, patching, resurfacing, shoulder building, and permanent striping of SR 59 beginning at the intersection of SR 15 (MP 0.00) in Jackson County and ending at the intersection of SR 51 at MP 4.64. No additional right-of-way is required.

Pursuant to the February 2000 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Federal Highway Administration (FHW A), the State Historic Preservation Officer of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (SHPO), and the Georgia Department of Transportation, this project is considered an undertaking as defined in 36 CFR 800.16{y), however, it has been determined there is no potential to affect historic properties included in or considered eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places.
