Abstract

The proposed project consists of the installation of High-Mast lighting at the I-16@Pooler Parkway Interchange in Chatham County, Georgia. The installation will include 14 Mongoose, 4 High-Mast, and 8 Wall pack lighting units. Total project length is approximately 0.40 mile (MP 4.59 to MP 4.99). All work will take place within the existing right-of-way; no new right-of-way or easements will be required. Pursuant to the September 2007 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Federal Highway Administration (FHW A), the State Historic Preservation Officer of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (SHPO), and the Georgia Department of Transportation, this project is considered an undertaking as defined in 36 CFR 800.16(y), however, it has been determined there is no potential to affect historic properties included in or considered eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places.
