The proposed work consists of milling, patching, resurfacing, striping, and raised pavement markers with 4-ft. earth shoulder building within the existing right-of-way with no work proposed beyond 5-ft. of the existing edge of pavement on a 13.45 mile section of State Route (SR) 83, from Academy Street in Madison to the Walton County line in Morgan County, Georgia. One curb cut for a Type A wheelchair ramp is proposed within the project limits at Thomason Road, on the east side of SR 83. On all bridges with concrete decks there will only be restriping; three bridges fall within the project area.
