Abstract

Archeological Assessment of a Dougherty County Resurfacing Project. This proposed project consists of the milling and inlaying of the mainline, shoulders, ramps, and permanent markings of SR 520 Bypass beginning at the Lee County Line and ending at Clark Avenue. All work will take place within the existing right-of-way with no new right-of-way required. Total project length is approximately 7.92 miles.

Pursuant to the February 2000 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Federal Highway Administration (FHW A), the State Historic Preservation Officer of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (SHPO), and the Georgia Department of Transportation, this project is considered an undertaking as defined in 36 CFR 800.16(y), however, it has been determined there is no potential to affect historic properties included in or considered eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places.
