Abstract

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project MR-4076(1), Chatham County has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The purpose of the survey was to locate, identify and evaluate the significance of any archaeological resources within the project corridor.

This project is the widening and reconstruction of Bryanwoods Road, C.R. 172 from U.S. 80/ S.R. 26 to S.R. 367. The project proposes the widening of the existing two lane facility to a four lane facility for a distance of 1.2 miles.
