Abstract

Archaeological Assessment of Project CM-186-1 (28), Fulton County, extension of the NAVITATOR system along SR 154/ 166 from I-285 eastward to 1-75/85, for a total distance of 6 miles. This project is the expansion of Georgia DOT's Navigator System on SR 154/166 (Lakewood Freeway/Langford Parkway) from I-285 eastward to I-75/85. The annual average daily traffic volume along this corridor is 61,600 VPD. This project will extend the fiber optic trunk line along the Lakewood Freeway. This project will also install 3,800' of fiber optic cable along I-75/85 southward to existing Hub "J". A new Hub "R" will be added in this project. The fiber optic line will be located under the right shoulder of the westbound and eastbound lane. The trunk will be carried within continuous conduit duct banks which will have the following configuration: on one side there will be three, 2" conduits and six, 1-1/4" conduit; the other side will have three, 2" conduit and eight, 1- 1/4" conduits.
